This 1,068 km highway will create a direct link between Sokoto in the northwest and Badagry in the southwest. By improving trade routes, it will significantly enhance commercial activities across Nigeria.
3. Calabar-Abuja Superhighway
Designed to connect Calabar to Abuja, this 482 km highway will ease transportation across the country, featuring major bridges, including one over the River Benue.
4. Akwanga-Jos-Bauchi-Gombe Highway
Spanning 439 km, this road will enhance connectivity between central and northeastern Nigeria, facilitating smoother movement of goods and services.
5. Abuja-Kano Road Rehabilitation
This vital link between Abuja and Kano is undergoing rehabilitation. The project covers 82 km and has been allocated N740 billion to ensure smoother and safer road conditions.
6. Bodo-Bonny Road (Rivers State)
The Bodo-Bonny Road, which connects key communities in Rivers State, has received additional funding of N80 billion, bringing the total to N280 billion. The project aims to improve accessibility in the Niger Delta.
7. Afikpo-Uturu-Okigwe Road Dualization
This project will enhance transportation across Ebonyi, Abia, and Imo states by expanding the road to accommodate increasing traffic demand.
8. Abeokuta-Iboro-Ilaro Road Rehabilitation
A key road in Ogun State, this 57 km stretch is being rehabilitated to enhance connectivity and economic activities in the southwest.
9. Mubi-Maiduguri Road Reconstruction
Several sections of this crucial road in the northeastern part of Nigeria are undergoing reconstruction, ensuring safer and more efficient transport in the region.
10. Benin-Akure-Ilesha Road Dualization
This 300 km project aims to improve travel between Edo, Ondo, and Osun states by expanding the road, reducing congestion, and enhancing regional commerce.
11. Odukpani-Itu-Ikot Ekpene Road Project
This road is being reconstructed with reinforced concrete pavement to tackle challenging terrain issues and ensure durability.
12. Enugu-Port Harcourt Road Rehabilitation
A critical highway connecting the South-East to the South-South, this project will improve road conditions and introduce shoreline protection measures.
13. Mararaba-Keffi Highway Expansion
This 43 km highway, which connects Nasarawa State to the Federal Capital Territory, is being expanded to ease congestion and improve access to Abuja.
