Why Nigeria Can Overcome Corruption — EFCC Chairman Ola Olukoyede
The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ola Olukoyede, believes that Nigeria can overcome its corruption challenges if all stakeholders actively participate in anti-corruption efforts. In his message for Eid-El-Kabir, Olukoyede emphasized the importance of a collective and renewed commitment to combating economic and financial crimes.
Olukoyede highlighted that achieving peace, unity, and progress in Nigeria is possible through continuous efforts to eliminate corruption and other unethical practices. He called on Nigerians to persist in addressing threats to national progress by working together against economic and financial crimes.
The EFCC chairman also asserted that Nigerians are not inherently corrupt and that the nation’s core values remain intact. He encouraged citizens to draw inspiration from the lessons of Eid-El-Kabir, such as sacrifice, faith, and hope, to reinforce their dedication to fighting corruption.
Olukoyede concluded by urging everyone to renew their commitment to serving the nation with integrity and striving for a corruption-free Nigeria.
