Kane Confident in England’s Euro 2024 Prospects Despite Denmark Draw

Harry Kane expressed confidence that England will refine their strategy for Euro 2024 success, despite a lackluster 1-1 draw against Denmark on Thursday.

Gareth Southgate’s squad could have secured their spot as Group C winners and advanced to the last 16 with a victory in Frankfurt.

England captain Kane set a promising tone early on, scoring a close-range goal from Kyle Walker’s deflected cross in the 18th minute.

However, England’s performance waned, allowing Denmark to equalize in the 34th minute with Morten Hjulmand’s impressive 30-yard shot past Jordan Pickford.

“A sign of a strong team is finding ways to get results even when you’re not at your best,” Kane remarked, referencing England’s recent games.

Despite the draw, England remains on track for the last 16, leading their group with four points as they prepare for their final match against Slovenia. Securing the group win would likely provide a more favorable draw in the next round.

Former England stars Alan Shearer and Rio Ferdinand were critical of the team’s performance in Germany.

Kane acknowledged the skepticism following the game but remains optimistic about England’s progress.

“We’re leading the group and know we can improve. There will be noise and disappointment back home, but we’ve been here before, like when we drew with Scotland in the last Euros. Step by step, we’ll get there,” he said.
