Breaking news: Documents sent to Liverpool Council as fan plans emerge for Everton move to …
Documents have been sent to Liverpool Council for transport plans as Everton’s new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock edges closer to completion, according to Liverpool Echo.
The report (7 August) indicates that a planning application has been sent to the Council for a fan management zone at Sandhills station. It is the nearest station to the ground and will be a key transport hub, with Everton Football Club being actively involved in the development of the plans.
Everton are due to move into their new home for the 2025/26 campaign and plans are moving at a pace ready for the Toffees to move venues.
Fresh hope for Everton
No Everton fan can hide away from the financial concerns stemming from activities off the pitch. In many ways, it’s healthy for supporters to talk about it. The club have been battling on and off the pitch in the Premier League over the course of the last few years and instead of worrying about relegation, why not get out your frustrations on the ownership ordeal?
With that being said, the stadium represents hope on the horizon. The blue half of Merseyside has a special love for Goodison Park, as we know. Still, the club needs to grow and evolve, which Everton Stadium will help them do.
In addition to the beautiful setting it provides on the Dock, it’s clear to see that the financial benefits will be huge. In total, the capacity will be expanded by over 13,000 – and even then the demand for tickets will be high.
Yes, there’s uncertainty, but it’s hard not to get pumped up about a new stadium that shows what kind of future the club hopes to have.
In other Everton news, a new attacking signing could be explored from the Italian leagues.
