Dele Momodu Criticizes Tinubu’s Inner Circle for not Telling President Tinubu the Truth about Hardship

Dele Momodu, a prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and publisher of Ovation Magazine, has taken President Bola Tinubu’s close advisors to task for their failure to honestly address the troubling state of Nigerian governance. Momodu accused these aides of misleading the public about the country’s economic situation.

In a recent interview with Arise TV, Momodu claimed that while Tinubu’s aides publicly support the administration, they privately express their frustrations. He stated, “It’s clear that bad governance exists in Nigeria; no one can deny it. Even the president’s aides, who can’t voice their concerns openly, complain behind his back. I have consistently spoken out, and I will continue to be the one who tells him the truth despite the deception around him.”

Momodu, an advocate of the #EndBadGovernance movement, expressed deep concern over the current state of Nigeria, remarking, “Nigeria has never been in such a dire situation.”

He suggested that President Tinubu needs to implement significant reforms rather than just making symbolic gestures. “I expect President Tinubu to take concrete steps, such as merging ministries to streamline governance and reducing excess appointments,” Momodu said. “Nigeria’s economic conditions cannot sustain the same approach used in Lagos. The extravagance must end, including unnecessary expenses like purchasing a new presidential jet or building costly homes.”
