List Of Schools That Have Been Paid Students Loans: Earlier Payment by Students To be Refunds
The Federal Government has disbursed a total of N2.026 billion in student loans to six universities, a move aligned with its ongoing commitment to educational funding. It is important to clarify that this disbursement is a government initiative and not directly from President Tinubu.
The distribution of funds to the universities is as follows:
1. Bayero University, Kano: N853.8 million
2. University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID): N589 million
3. Federal University Dutsin-Ma: N305 million
4. University of Ibadan (UI): N201.1 million
5. University of Ilorin (UNILORIN): N52.9 million
6. University of Benin (UNIBEN): N24.4 million
In total, over 20,000 students are expected to benefit from this initiative. Additionally, the University of Ibadan has instructed students who have already paid their tuition fees to request a refund. The university also advised students to act responsibly with the refunded money, suggesting they return the funds to their parents.
This distribution reflects the Federal Government’s fulfillment of its education-related promises, further emphasizing that this is a governmental effort rather than a personal initiative of President Tinubu.
