Naval Officer Arrested for Murder and Vehicle Theft in Abuja

In Abuja, a naval officer has been detained for allegedly murdering Aminu Ibrahim, the son of a deceased Admiral, and stealing his SUV Prado. Commissioner of Police for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Benneth Igweh, revealed this during a press briefing on Wednesday.
The naval officer was apprehended on August 23 during a routine search operation. Initial investigations show that the suspect was on guard duty at the residence of the retired admiral and had taken the vehicle belonging to the late Aminu Ibrahim. The officer has confessed to being part of a three-man gang involved in armed robbery and luxury vehicle theft.
In a separate case, twin brothers have been arrested for allegedly stealing an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) card in Abuja. The CP reported that the suspects, detained on August 27, were involved in a scheme to swap ATM cards and withdraw funds from unsuspecting victims’ accounts.
Authorities are continuing their efforts to capture the remaining members of the gang, and the suspects will face legal proceedings once the investigations are concluded.
