Sheikh Aliyu Ibrahim Criticizes President Tinubu’s Says No Sane Person Will Vote Tinubu In 2027; See Reasons

Islamic scholar Sheikh Aliyu Ibrahim has voiced his disapproval of the recent surge in fuel prices, labeling the situation as “madness.” The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) recently raised the price of petrol from N617 to N897 per litre, leading to widespread unrest as transportation costs and prices of goods and services have soared.
In a widely circulated video, Sheikh Ibrahim expressed his frustration with the price increase and its impact on the economy. He predicted that this issue could jeopardize President Bola Tinubu’s chances for re-election in 2027, suggesting that no rational person would support a candidate responsible for such a dramatic rise in fuel prices.
He remarked, “The increase in PMS price is sheer madness. Whoever advised the president to implement this is out of their mind. This move is a clear indication that Tinubu might face defeat in the next election, as no reasonable person would vote for those who have escalated the price from N180 to N1,000.”
