Faduri Criticizes LP Stakeholders Latest Meeting, Calls It a “Secretive Show of Obedient” Gathering
By Ibrahim Hassan-Wuyo

Faduri Oluwadare Joseph, a former presidential aspirant for the Labour Party (LP) and leader of the Rescue Movement for New Nigeria, has criticized the recent LP stakeholders meeting organized by Governor Otti of Abia State. Joseph claimed that the meeting was biased and poorly organized, referring to it as an “Obedient meeting” rather than a genuine party-wide consultation.

Joseph expressed concerns that the Labour Party has a chance to reorganize and secure victory in future elections, but only if internal issues are addressed. He suggested that failing to resolve these issues could undermine the party’s credibility with the Nigerian public.
In his statement, Joseph criticized the meeting’s setup, noting that only Mr. Peter Obi and his associates attended, with no representation from the outgoing leadership of either faction. He questioned why such a crucial meeting was held in Abia State instead of Abuja, and challenged Governor Otti’s authority to convene the meeting.
Joseph also pointed out that important stakeholders, including those who had previously contested alongside Peter Obi, were excluded from the meeting. He argued that any decisions made in such a manner are inherently flawed and unlikely to be effective.
He lamented that the party’s current struggles stem from what he perceives as Peter Obi’s failure to address internal conflicts early on. Joseph believes that Obi’s lack of proactive leadership contributed to the party’s disarray and that relying on Governor Otti to mediate now will not resolve the underlying issues.
Joseph concluded by urging the Labour Party to address its internal problems with integrity and unity to regain its standing. He commended Governor Otti for his intentions but emphasized that the process must be handled correctly to achieve meaningful progress.
