Lord’s Chosen: Church Defends Authenticity After Viral ‘AK-47’ Testimony Controversy

The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries has responded to recent online ridicule regarding a testimony by a church member, asserting that their testimonies are genuine and not fabricated.
Pastor Chidi Louis, the Head of Public Relations and Media for the church, addressed the allegations surrounding a viral video. This video depicted a member allegedly recounting an experience of disarming four robbers and seizing what was referred to as an “AK-27.” According to Louis, this account was entirely fictitious.
Louis urged Nigerians to ignore the misleading video and refer to the church’s official platform for the complete and accurate testimony. He clarified that the woman’s account was based on a dream, not a real-life event.
He cautioned against trusting everything seen online, as some bloggers may manipulate content to discredit religious organizations. “Many of these bloggers are deceitful and malevolent,” he warned.
The church’s media team also condemned the video as fake and encouraged the public to disregard it. The true version of the testimony was posted on the church’s TikTok account, explaining that the incident described by the woman was merely a dream. The controversy began with a video where a woman spoke about overcoming robbers and collecting a weapon, which was mistakenly called an “AK-27” instead of the correct “AK-47.”
