See the Numbers of Lecturers at Kogi University Fired Over Sexual Misconduct and Examination Irregularities

The Governing Council of the Federal University Lokoja has officially dismissed four lecturers for involvement in examination misconduct and sexual harassment.

According to reports, the council approved their termination during its Second Council Meeting on Thursday. This decision follows an extensive investigation into allegations of examination malpractice and sexual harassment brought against the lecturers last year.

Under the leadership of Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba, the council commended the university administration for adhering to proper procedures during the investigation. Ndoma-Egba emphasized that the council is committed to upholding ethical standards, stating, “The council will not condone any form of unethical behavior at the university,” and called on the institution to promptly address other ongoing cases, particularly a high-profile one from the Faculty of Science that has gained media attention.

The council also issued a stern warning to staff members and lecturers against any form of student exploitation, stressing that all allegations would be thoroughly investigated and dealt with. Additionally, students were encouraged to report any instances of harassment or abuse they may experience.
