APC’s Rising Strength Under Tinubu: Oyintiloye Predicts More Victories Ahead

A prominent leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Mr. Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, declared on Monday that the party had grown stronger under President Bola Tinubu’s administration and expressed confidence that it would continue to secure victories in upcoming off-cycle elections.

In a statement congratulating the newly elected governor of Ondo State, Mr. Lucky Ayedatiwa, following his win in Saturday’s gubernatorial poll, Oyintiloye, who served as a member of the APC National Campaign Stakeholders Engagement Committee, emphasized that the party’s success in Ondo was a clear sign of its increasing popularity across the country.

He noted that the APC candidate’s landslide victory, securing 366,781 votes compared to the 117,845 votes for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Mr. Agboola Ajayi, sent a strong message to opposition parties. According to Oyintiloye, states currently governed by opposition parties should prepare for significant defeats in their upcoming elections.

The former lawmaker also pointed to the APC’s recent successes in Edo and Ondo states as further proof that President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda is resonating with the electorate. He stressed that the overwhelming support for the APC in these regions demonstrated the enduring faith of the people in the party and its leadership.

“The predictions about the massive support APC would receive in this election have come true, and opposition parties, especially the PDP, have been shocked by the scale of the victory,” Oyintiloye said. “The result is a clear indication that the people of Ondo State continue to trust APC and President Tinubu’s leadership.”

He further noted that with victories in Kogi, Edo, and now Ondo, and states like Anambra, Ekiti, and Osun set to follow, the APC was poised to extend its reach and influence. “The APC is growing stronger under President Tinubu, and the series of successes since his presidency began shows that the public still believes in our leadership,” he added.

In his message to Ayedatiwa, Oyintiloye encouraged him to be gracious in victory and prioritize fulfilling the promises made to the people during his campaign. He also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for ensuring a smooth and transparent electoral process, highlighting the peaceful conduct of both the electorate and the electoral authorities.
