I’ll Keep Trekking Until My Last Breath If Tinubu’s Government Ignores Me, Says Nigerian Who Walked From Ibadan to Abuja

A Nigerian man known as Mr. Nigeria101, who trekked over 600 kilometers from Ibadan to Abuja to meet President Bola Tinubu, has expressed his frustration with the lack of recognition or attention from the government.
The man, who gained popularity on TikTok during his journey in late 2024, shared numerous videos documenting his trek on his TikTok account, which has 36,000 followers and over 432,600 likes. He began his long walk from the capital of Oyo State to the nation’s capital to show support for President Tinubu, but despite his efforts, neither the president nor any official from the government has acknowledged him.
In his most recent video, Mr. Nigeria101 voiced his anger and disappointment, revealing that despite his determination and sacrifice, no government representative had approached him or even inquired about his journey. He expressed feeling neglected and unappreciated.
“I have been walking from Ibadan to Abuja since December 1, 2024, and not a single government official, not even a local councillor, has come to speak with me or offer any recognition. It is truly unfair, and it’s not something to be proud of,” he said.
He added, “This is just the beginning. If no one from the government approaches me to understand why I embarked on this journey, I will not stop. I will continue trekking from place to place until my last breath, until I have no strength left. I will not go home unless they acknowledge me.”
