Rev. Fr. Ebube Muonso Criticizes Soludo’s Leadership, Says His Only Projects Are Those Killed by Kidnappers

Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Obimma, popularly known as Fada Ebube Muonso, has once again criticized Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, accusing him of failing to deliver on any significant projects for the state. The outspoken priest’s remarks come in the wake of a growing wave of kidnappings in the region, with the two figures having been at odds over Soludo’s handling of security issues.

 

Speaking to his congregation in Uke, Idemili South Local Government Area, on Wednesday, Obimma lamented the state’s decline under Soludo’s administration. He stated that Anambra, once considered a leading state in the South-East, has now fallen behind its counterparts.

 

He pointed out, “Just recently, the president was in Enugu to inaugurate several projects, while in Anambra, there’s nothing to showcase. What do we have to present here under Soludo’s leadership?”

 

The priest further accused Soludo’s administration of only having “the blood of the innocent” to show for its efforts, citing the growing number of kidnapping victims. He also criticized the governor’s claims of constructing roads, labeling them as subpar and unworthy of praise.

 

Obimma did not spare the state’s Commissioner for Information, Dr. Law Mefor, who had earlier branded him a false prophet in a recent article. The priest retorted, “I take it as a good sign that they are attacking me. Those spreading lies will soon face the consequences of their actions. Instead of addressing the real issue of insecurity, they are attacking a man of God.”

 

He highlighted the recent abduction of two Reverend Sisters in Ajalli, stressing that the government’s inability to combat the rising insecurity is a clear indication of its failure.
