I would like to warmly welcome our esteemed Guest of Honor, Mr. Kwame Oppong, Director of FinTech and Innovation at the Bank of Ghana. Your presence today highlights the critical importance of our work within the mobile money sector.
I also want to acknowledge the distinguished individuals joining us today, including Mr. Andrew Takyi-Appiah, CEO of Zeepy, Mr. Haruna Shaibu, CEO of Mobile Money Limited (MTN), Mr. Samuel Gyimah, Executive Head of Accra Telecel, Mohammed Alhassan, Head of Mobile Financial Services at AT Ghana Limited, and our former president, Maame Nyarkoa Addo. Your contributions to MoMAG’s growth and success have been invaluable, and we are deeply grateful for your ongoing support.
To the outgoing executives who are no longer part of the current administration, I extend my heartfelt gratitude for your dedication and the sacrifices you made in service to MoMAG. Though you may not be part of the current leadership, you will always be an essential part of our journey. Our theme, “Unity and Transformation,” is not just a slogan but a guiding principle. We will undoubtedly rely on your expertise and support as we move forward. Your knowledge and experience remain invaluable, and we look forward to continued collaboration in various ways.
I am also privileged to have my beloved wife, Mrs. Comfort Agyemang, by my side today. Her unwavering support, love, and encouragement have been my foundation, and I am profoundly grateful for her presence here with me.
As I reflect on this moment, I am filled with immense pride and gratitude. It is an honor to lead an organization that has consistently been at the forefront of innovation in the mobile money industry. I deeply appreciate the trust and confidence you have placed in me, and I pledge to work tirelessly to advocate for your interests, offer support, and create opportunities for growth and progress.
As we embark on this new chapter in MoMAG’s journey, I want to emphasize the importance of unity and transformation within our association.
