Pull-Out: “For OGUNGBANGBE SENATE ’27, building the future of Osun East is not just a dream—it’s a goal in motion. Now is the time for the Ife/Ijesa people to actively connect with this vision, legislative agenda, and the possibilities it brings.”

It is not every day that you encounter a public figure whose actions consistently speak louder than promises. Dr. Thomas Olaleye Ogungbangbe is one of those rare individuals whose commitment to community development is visible in projects, policies, and people whose lives have been changed.

In 2022, Ogungbangbe personally funded the construction of the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport access road—an infrastructure project worth ₦300 million. Beyond improving travel and logistics, the road has enhanced local economic activity, providing a tangible link between the community and broader development opportunities.
Dr. Ogungbangbe’s impact extends into education through the Thomas Ogungbangbe Scholarship Foundation, which awards scholarships biennially. In 2025, the Foundation supported PhD students and other academically promising individuals who lack the financial means to pursue their goals. This support has had a ripple effect—not only on the recipients but also on their families and communities across Osun State, helping to close the education gap and promote inclusive growth.

His dedication to grassroots politics is equally impressive. In 2024, when the Osun State Independent Electoral Commission (OSIEC) required ₦30 million in tax clearances from 145 candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ogungbangbe stepped in and covered the entire amount. This generous intervention allowed candidates—10 for chairmanship, 10 for vice-chairmanship, and 125 for councilors from across Ife/Ijesa in Osun East—to contest elections without financial barriers.

As Chairman and CEO of CITA Energies and the current head of the Aviation Fuel Marketers Association of Nigeria (AFMAN), Ogungbangbe has also played a pivotal role in reforming energy logistics and entrepreneurship. He has consistently advocated for better systems that reduce barriers to entry and promote fair growth, particularly for smaller players often left behind in the oil and gas sector.

These accomplishments point to a clear pattern: a man who does not wait for office to lead. Whether in education, politics, or business, Ogungbangbe brings vision, structure, and action to the table. His Senate bid in 2027 is not just another political ambition—it’s a continuation of work he has already started.

In a region where many feel disconnected from the legislative process, Ogungbangbe’s approach promises to shift that narrative. His experience in finance, healthcare, and now energy, alongside his royal lineage from the Ajagbusi Ekun Owaloko Royal Dynasty, lends credibility and strength to his promise of inclusive, people-focused governance.

If elected, he aims to push forward meaningful legislation that addresses long-standing issues in Osun East, from economic development and infrastructure to youth empowerment and social equity. With a deep understanding of the systemic challenges, he is positioning himself to influence change where it’s most needed.
His commitment to public service, integrity, and inclusive leadership is shaping him into a candidate not just running for office—but running with purpose.
