Deji Adeyanju Criticizes Peter Obi After Video of Him Serving Breakfast Goes Viral

Nigerian activist Deji Adeyanju has criticized Peter Obi and his supporters after a video surfaced showing the former presidential candidate serving breakfast to members of his support group, known as the Obidients.

The video, shared by Yunusa Tanko, a prominent figure in the Obidient movement, showed Obi personally dishing out food to his team. Tanko praised the gesture, writing:

> “This is true servant leadership — someone who serves his people, including his own staff. It’s not staged, it’s just who he is… Obidients, let’s stay focused. PO is coming… A New Nigeria is POssible.”

But Adeyanju was unimpressed. Reacting to the clip, he questioned the seriousness of the political conversation in the country.

> “So this is what leadership has become in Nigeria? Serving food?” he wrote in response, calling the act “childish.”

He went further, describing the approach as a “419 strategy” and said such tactics would not help Obi in the 2027 elections.
