CAC Delists 247 Firms Over Fake Incorporation Claims

The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has announced the removal of 247 entities from its official company registry, stating that the affected businesses were never properly registered as limited liability companies.

The update was shared via the Commission’s verified X (formerly Twitter) account on Friday. In the statement, the CAC clarified that the names in question were never legally incorporated and, therefore, do not exist as recognized legal entities.

Furthermore, the Commission noted that the alleged incorporation numbers and certificates associated with these firms were fabricated, as those registration details have never been issued to any legitimate company.

The CAC has urged members of the public to ignore any representation or claims tied to these companies, warning that they hold no legal standing.
