The National President of Friends of Seyi Tinubu(FOST), a prominent humanitarian foundation committed to youth empowerment and national development, Comrade Adejorin Tai Manuel, extends his heartfelt congratulations to Comrade. John Onarinde on this well-deserved appointment, noting that his remarkable track record in humanitarian service, professional excellence, and community engagement makes him a valuable asset to the organisation’s vision and mission.

Comr. John Onarinde brings a wealth of experience and leadership to his new role, having distinguished himself as an accomplished energy management professional with extensive experience in power system protection, metering, planning, operations, and maintenance in the Nigerian power sector. He has held leadership roles in transformative projects that drive innovation, transparency, accountability, loss reduction, and efficiency in the electricity value chain, including World Bank–funded initiatives, the National Mass Metering Scheme, the Trading Points Telemetering System, and other smart utility solutions.

Comr. John Onarinde

John holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Power Systems Engineering and a Master’s degree focused in Electronics, with research interests centered on artificial intelligence applications in power systems and energy management. He is a registered engineer with the Council for Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), a chartered engineer with the Chartered Institute of Power Engineers of Nigeria, and a corporate member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE).
