Tinubu Elevates Federal Service, Four New Permanent Secretaries Appointed

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of four new Permanent Secretaries to the Federal Civil Service, filling key vacancies and reinforcing the government’s commitment to merit-based leadership.
The announcement was made on Thursday in Abuja by Mrs. Eno Olotu, Director of Information and Public Relations in the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HCSF).
The newly appointed Permanent Secretaries are: Mrs. Warrens Augusta from Bayelsa, Mrs. Jones-Nebo Bella from Enugu, Mr. Aminu Yargaya from Kano, and Mr. Shoretire Kamil from Ogun.
Mrs. Olotu noted that the appointments followed a thorough and transparent selection process, in line with the administration’s pledge to uphold professionalism and excellence within the civil service. “These appointments are designed to leverage the experience and expertise of the new Permanent Secretaries, enhancing public service delivery and supporting the government’s broader development agenda,” she said.
The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Walson-Jack, also congratulated the appointees, commending President Tinubu for prioritizing transparency and meritocracy in public sector appointments. She added that the selections reflect a commitment to building a competent, results-driven civil service capable of meeting the needs of Nigerians.
The new Permanent Secretaries are expected to assume their duties immediately, contributing to the administration’s ongoing efforts to strengthen governance and service delivery across federal institutions.
