Ghani Arobo Stands as APC Candidate for Owo-Ose Federal Constituency – Media Team

Ghani Arobo Stands as APC Candidate for Owo-Ose Federal Constituency – Media Team

We call on all supporters, party members, and patriotic citizens to remain calm and resolute following recent judicial activity concerning the APC ticket for Owo/Ose Federal Constituency. The Federal High Court, Abuja, delivered a clear judgment on August 5, 2026, declaring our Principal, Hon. Abdulghani Rotimi Arobo, the rightful winner of the APC primary. That ruling vindicated the democratic choice of party members and reaffirmed the mandate freely given at the primary election.

We recognise that the parties involved has filed a Notice of Appeal and a Motion for Stay of Execution at the Court of Appeal and has notified INEC. Such legal steps are routine in electoral litigation, but they do not erase the High Court’s finding on the merits. Until a contrary order is issued by the Court of Appeal, the High Court judgment stands and remains authoritative for the purpose of clarity and public record.

In the eyes of the law and for the avoidance of doubt, Hon. Abdulghani Rotimi Arobo continues to be the legitimately declared candidate of the All Progressives Congress for Owo/Ose Federal Constituency. We are confident that, when the appeals process is fully heard, justice and the rule of law will prevail and the people’s choice will be upheld.

We call on party leaders, INEC and all stakeholders to respect due process, to act responsibly, and to avoid actions that could inflame tensions or undermine democratic norms. Our supporters must remain peaceful, disciplined, and united in the face of attempts to subvert the will of party members.

We will continue to pursue every lawful avenue to protect and defend the mandate bestowed upon Hon. Abdulghani Rotimi Arobo, and we urge the media to report accurately and responsibly as the matter proceeds through the courts.
