Dangote Cement Depot sealed by ACTDA
Officials of Awka Capital Territory Development Authority, this morning 3rd Oct. 2023, sealed the Dangote Cement Depot along the old Enugu/Onitsha old road, for the severe damages their heavy-duty trucks do on that very busy road as well as blockage of drainages along that axis which has left the road in a deplorable state.
The officials mandated the management of the business premises to fix the road and damaged drains within 48 hours or risk outright revocation of their right to continue business within the premises.
According to the MD/CEO of the agency, Ossy Onuko, this is part of the routine checks the agency carries out to ensure that public facilities/infrastructures within the capital city is kept in good shape at all times. He enjoined the masses to take ownership of all public properties, noting that it is in the collective interest of all well meaning individuals especially tax payers that government properties are not vandalized.
