Abia Governor,Offers N25 Million Reward for Information on Abia Soldiers’ Killers
The Abia State Government has announced a N25 million reward for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for the deaths of five soldiers at Obikabia Junction, Ogbor Hill, Aba.
On Thursday, unknown assailants attacked a military checkpoint, resulting in the deaths of five soldiers and the destruction of two patrol vehicles.
The attackers reportedly took the soldiers’ rifles and fled the scene.
In a statement, Commissioner for Information Prince Okey Kanu expressed the state government’s strong condemnation of the attack. The government extended condolences to the Chief of Army Staff, Major General Taoreed Lagbaja, and the Military High Command. They also offered prayers for the souls of the brave soldiers who lost their lives in the line of duty.
