ADC Says Tinubu Government Trying to Destroy Opposition Group

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has accused elements within the administration of President Bola Tinubu of orchestrating a covert campaign aimed at weakening and destabilising Nigeria’s growing opposition coalition.
In a statement released on Monday, the party’s Interim National Publicity Secretary and spokesperson for the broader opposition alliance, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, raised alarm over what he described as a calculated attempt to interfere with the ADC’s internal affairs through coercion and political intimidation.

The ADC warned that these actions are part of a broader agenda to undermine multi-party democracy and inch Nigeria closer to authoritarian rule.
“The recent unveiling of the new ADC leadership and the coalition declaration on July 1 have clearly unsettled the ruling party,” the statement continued. “Rather than address the real issues confronting the country
