“From Potential to Power: Adeoye Emmanuel Temitope Urges Youth to Rise and Lead”
ADDRESS BY HON. ADEOYE EMMANUEL TEMITOPE
TO THE YOUTH ON INTERNATIONAL YOUTH DAY

Theme: “Youth as Catalysts for Peace, Progress, and Prosperity”
My dear young people,
Today, as we gather to mark International Youth Day, I stand before you not just as a public servant, but as a brother, a friend, and a believer in the power you hold to transform our communities, our nation, and our world.
You are the heartbeat of our society and the energy that fuels innovation, the courage that drives change, and the voice that shapes the future. Around the world, history has shown that no movement for justice, progress, or development can thrive without the active participation of the youth.
However, being young is not just about age. it is about the readiness to dream big and work hard; it is about refusing to accept limitations, and instead turning challenges into opportunities.
Our generation faces many obstacles like unemployment, social unrest, climate change, and economic uncertainties but yet, I believe in the Nigerian youth’s resilience. I believe in your ability to create jobs instead of just seeking them, to use technology for growth instead of destruction, and to stand as ambassadors of peace in a world that sometimes forgets the value of unity.
Today, I challenge you:
– Educate yourselves: knowledge is the most powerful weapon you can wield.
– Stay united: division is the enemy of progress.
– Innovate: let your creativity solve real problems.
– Lead with integrity: your influence will be measured by the lives you uplift.
I pledge my continued support to ensure that our youths have access to education, entrepreneurship opportunities, mentorship, and platforms to express their talents.
On this International Youth Day, let us rise with renewed purpose. Let us be the generation that refuses to be defined by problems, but rather by the solutions we create. Together, we can build a society where peace is our language, progress is our goal, and prosperity is our shared reward.
HAPPY INTERNATIONAL YOUTH DAY CELEBRATION TO US
God bless the youth.
God bless Nigeria.
Hon. Adeoye Emmanuel Temitope
