Adeleke’s Spokesman Slams Tinubu and APC in Bold Open Letter

Adeleke’s Spokesman Criticizes Tinubu and APC in Bold Open Letter

By Ahmed Agbabiaka & Adebayo Adedeji

Just when mature political dialogue is needed, Governor Adeleke’s spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, decided to go full attack mode. Instead of building bridges, Rasheed chose to tear them down with a bold and controversial open letter to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC.

Rather than showing tact or seeking unity, Rasheed went on a political rant filled with accusations, bold claims, and open disrespect. It wasn’t a plea for change, it was a public slap in the face to Tinubu and the Osun APC.

In his letter, Rasheed bragged:

> “Ademola Adeleke has, in less than three years, delivered more for Osun than the APC did in 12 years combined.”

He didn’t stop there. He went on to label Osun APC and its candidates as “unelectable,” blaming their downfall on the same people still steering the party’s ship — including Tinubu’s cousin.

Let’s be clear: telling a party leader like Tinubu that everything he built in Osun was a failure isn’t just criticism, it’s a direct insult. Rasheed is basically saying Tinubu’s judgement failed Osun for over a decade and shouldn’t be trusted again.

He also claimed:

> “APC lost over 40% of its members to the PDP, even former Governor Rauf Aregbesola left and worked with us.”

That’s a heavy accusation. Rasheed is not just calling the Osun APC a failure, he’s tying that failure to Tinubu personally. He’s also suggesting Tinubu wants to manipulate the 2026 election. That’s not politics — that’s war talk.

What’s even more confusing is the rumour floating around that Adeleke might be planning to join APC. If that’s true, what’s the point of all these attacks? Is Rasheed trying to stir chaos before barging into the party with Adeleke?

And let’s not forget how Adeleke’s camp took over the PDP, pushing aside long-time party loyalists like Chief Shuaib Oyedokun, Adejare Bello, Iyiola Omisore, Akin Ogunbiyi, Dotun Babayemi, and many others who built the PDP before the Adelekes returned in 2017. Is this the same game plan for the APC?

To openly insult a party and its leader, then quietly plan to join that same party — that’s not just bold. It’s provocative. It’s disrespect on another level.

This isn’t something Tinubu and APC leaders can just brush off. Rasheed’s letter isn’t just criticism — it’s a challenge to Tinubu’s legacy, his leadership, and his influence in Osun. If Adeleke’s team really plans to jump ship, the big question remains:

Is the APC ready for them or are they opening the door to a political disaster?
