Alleged Fraud: Again, Former CBN Governor Godwin Emefiele Appears In Court
The trial of the embattled former governor, Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele resumed Friday before Justice Rahman Oshodi of the Ikeja High Court Lagos, as the prosecution witness, Victor Onyejiuwa, who had testified before the court at its earlier sitting last Thursday was cross-examined by the defence counsels present.
Onyejiuwa during last sitting was led in evidence in chief by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission ( EFCC”s) Prosecution counsel , Rotimi Oyedepo (SAN) explained how he was pressurised to pay a whooping six hundred thousand US dollars to John Ayoh, a top official of the Central Bank of Nigeria to influence the award of a contract to his company.
