AMBO 2026: A Humble Servant, Not a Power Seeker
AMBO 2026: A Humble Servant, Not a Power Seeker

In 2018, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO) was running to become Osun governor, to succeed Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, whom he had served from June 2017 as Commissioner for Finance, before he was confronted with the fact that Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola had been anointed as the Candidate of the All Progressives Congress. He dropped his governorship ambition without malice. He collapsed his structure to support the Candidate of the party.
Since that time, he has been loyal to Oyetola, serving dutifully and diligently, first as his finance commissioner from 2019 to 2022, then as his Special Adviser when the former governor was appointed the pioneer minister of the Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy and now as a managing director in an agency under the marine ministry. He has never plotted to tear his leader apart or schemed with adversaries for his downfall or to take his position.
Such a humility personified, but with competence, is what Osun needs now. A leader who will see the party men and women and general electorate as his masters, not like a war article to be conquered. A servant-leader who will accommodate shades of ideas to plan his policy. Someone who will not see governorship as his birthright and entitlement.
AMBO is in the race to serve the people of Osun and put the state on a path of prosperity.
Let’s support the best man for the job. 24 years banking experience (1988-2012) and 13 years public service commitment (2012-2025). Let’s support a Competent, Transparent, an Accessible and Humble man. Let’s support AMBO 2026.
