Anglican Priest David Arinze Ajaefobi Kidnapped in Anambra

Ven David Arinze Ajaefobi, an Anglican priest and Archdeacon of Oyi Central Archdeaconry, has reportedly been abducted in Anambra State.
Sources informed FIRST CLASS GISTS that the cleric was kidnapped by unknown assailants on Saturday night. The incident took place around 9:00 PM on October 26, 2024, at the entrance of St. James’ Parish in Awkuzu, located in the Oyi Local Government Area.
As of now, there has been no communication from the kidnappers regarding a ransom or the motive behind the abduction. In response, the church community has organized prayer sessions for his safe return.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer for the Anambra State Police Command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, stated that the police had not yet received any reports about the incident.
