APC Faction’s Leader, Aregbesola launches Omoluabi Progressives’ membership registration; Give Reasons

The Omoluabi Progressives, a faction of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun, have begun registering new members statewide. The initiative was spearheaded by Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, the immediate past Minister of Interior, during the June edition of the group’s monthly stakeholders meeting in Ilesa on Saturday, June 1, 2024.

The faction’s leader, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, emphasized the importance of the caucus’s activities in shaping the political landscape of the state. At the meeting, Aregbesola highlighted the significant role of the Omoluabi Progressives in influencing state elections and urged members to intensify their grassroots mobilization efforts.

“We have a strong connection with the grassroots, and everyone in Osun has felt the impact of the Omoluabi Progressives,” Aregbesola said. “Our capacity is known, and we are the genuine politicians who resonate deeply with the people. We must continue to mobilize and bring influential figures into our fold, ensuring our core values and virtues are propagated.”

Alhaji Azeez Adesiji, Chairman of the Omoluabi Progressives, expressed gratitude to the members for their unwavering support. He shared that the recent federal constituency trip by the state executive committee was successful and emphasized the importance of unity to achieve the caucus’s goals.

Adesiji also highlighted the influx of new members and urged the leaders to educate them about the organization’s mission and values. “We are welcoming new members daily. Our leaders must continue to educate and integrate these members into our vision. Together, we will reach our desired goals,” he stated.

The meeting concluded with the local government chairmen of the Omoluabi Progressives receiving the caucus’s ethics and code of conduct. The gathering saw attendance from notable politicians, including former Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Dr. Najeem Salaam, former SSG, Alhaji Moshood Adeoti, and others. Grassroots politicians from across the state also participated in the event.
