APC National Chairman Ganduje Warns Okowa: You Cannot Have Delta APC Structure
During a crucial party meeting, APC National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje firmly addressed tensions over the party’s leadership structure in Delta State. Before making his statement, Ganduje asked several senior leaders to leave the room.
He then clarified that the APC’s success in Delta was the result of groundwork laid by a key figure who led the party to significant electoral victories—including a Senate seat, two additional senatorial wins, a House of Representatives seat, and several state assembly positions. Ganduje affirmed that, following the President’s directive, the existing leadership would not be undermined.
He cautioned new entrants to the party against attempting to seize control of the structure, stating bluntly that they had no stake in what they didn’t build.
Afterward, Ganduje instructed attendees to stay back while five APC governors held a closed-door meeting with DSP Ovie Omo-Agege, the Obarisi of Urhobo land.
Wrapping up, he warned against complaints: “Don’t claim unfairness. You joined the party under pressure—accept what you’re given. You can’t negotiate from a place of desperation.”
