APC Osun Stands United: Dismisses Rumors, Calls for Party Harmony Ahead of 2027 Elections
The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has cautioned the members of the party in the state to desist from any actions and inactions capable of rocking the prevailing peace in the party few months to the governorship election in the state.
The state chairman of the party, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, in a statement issued today stated that it was wrong for some elements to be spewing falsehoods from the corners of their rooms depicting that the leadership of the party has anointed some candidates for the National and House of Assembly elections coming up in 2027.
There is no iota of truth in such propagation of falsehoods as there was no where either in the past or present that any meeting on such agenda was discussed.
I want to appeal to the esteemed members and loyal supporters of our party to discountenance the misinformation and disinformation and consign same to the dustbin of information as it still remains within the realm of rumour.
What should preoccupy the minds of anyone who calls himself a worthy and dedicated member of our party now should be the concerted efforts to collectively work assiduously for the victory of our governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), and his running mate, Aare(Engr) Benjamin Kayode Adereti, in the forthcoming governorship election.
It is a disservice to our party for any of our members to be promoting avoidable acrimony and crisis for personal interest which won’t serve the collective interest of our party in our resolve to form the next government in the state.
Let’s work together and prioritise the success of our governorship candidate at the polls in the forthcoming election which is crucial and the bedrock of other future elections in the state.
I want to state unequivocally that it is not true that the APC under my watch has anointed some candidates for the national and house of assembly elections.
It is a figment of the imagination of those who are propagating the falsehood which is being touted deliberately to destabilise our party which is antithetical to the position of the party that all the aspirants for the national and state assemblies should, for now, dissipate their energy on the election of AMBO.
With the election of AMBO as the next state governor, all other things would fall in place and life would become more abundant for all the strata of the society in the state.
