The Federal Capital Territory is bracing for one of the largest gatherings of women stakeholders in recent times as Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, prepares to lead a landmark mobilisation and empowerment programme expected to draw more than 20,000 Nigerian women from across the country.

The high-profile event, officially tagged the Women Stakeholders’ Mobilisation and Empowerment pre-inaugural roll out programme, is organised under the 2027 APC Presidential Campaign Council, Women Mobilisation Directorate. It is scheduled for Monday, October 5, 2026, at 8:00 am at the prestigious Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre (BATICC), Abuja.

The Pre-Inaugural Campaign Roll-Out 2027, with the theme “Renewed Hope Agenda 2.0: From Reforms to Prosperity.” is designed not only as a platform for political mobilisation but also as a strategic forum for engagement, empowerment and the strengthening of women’s participation in Nigeria’s democratic process.

The gathering is convened by Senator Oluremi Tinubu and is firmly anchored on the Tinubu-Shettima 2027 campaign platform. with the powerful rallying slogan “One Voice, One Movement, One Choice, One Mandate 2027” as the central message of the women mobilisation initiative.

According to Hon. Princess Gloria Akobundu, PhD, a member of the Planning Committee, the programme is expected to serve as a major convergence point for women from different parts of the country. She explained that the event will create space for stakeholders to connect, engage meaningfully and deepen their involvement in the forthcoming political process.

Akobundu emphasised that the gathering will underscore the critical role of Nigerian women as key stakeholders in both national development and political participation. She noted that the programme is also aimed at promoting greater coordination among women leaders and grassroots structures, ensuring that the mobilisation effort is broad-based, organised and effective.

The planned event is expected to feature women leaders, community representatives, political stakeholders and grassroots mobilisers. Discussions will centre on strategies for mobilisation, empowerment, grassroots engagement and the broader vision of the Renewed Hope Agenda 2.0.

Princess Akobundu stated that the focus is on translating ongoing reforms into tangible prosperity while ensuring women remain at the heart of the national conversation.

She futher stated that the programme is being positioned as an empowerment platform to inspire, equip and organise thousands of women so they can play more active and coordinated roles ahead of the 2027 general elections. The emphasis on participation, organisation and grassroots engagement reflects a deliberate effort to build a strong, unified women’s mobilisation structure.

The atmosphere in the Federal Capital is already charged with anticipation, with many describing the gathering as the “mother of all empowerment” programmes for Nigerian women in the lead-up to 2027.
