He emphasized that no society should tolerate such acts of violence and called for swift action to bring the perpetrators to justice. According to him, it is essential for law enforcement agencies to conduct a thorough and impartial investigation to ensure that those responsible are held accountable.

Atiku also used the opportunity to stress the need for stronger security measures in the country. He highlighted the importance of proactive governance in preventing such incidents and protecting the lives of all citizens, regardless of their background. He urged security agencies to be more vigilant and efficient in responding to threats, adding that ensuring justice for the victims would help restore public confidence in the country’s security system.

Furthermore, Atiku condemned any form of jungle justice, warning that such actions only worsen insecurity rather than solve the problem. He called on Nigerians to embrace peace, unity, and the rule of law in addressing disputes rather than resorting to violence.

The former vice president reiterated that justice must not only be served but also seen to be served, as this is crucial in maintaining law and order. He encouraged leaders at all levels to prioritize the safety and well-being of the people, stating that a secure nation is fundamental to its progress and development.
