Atiku Abubakar has strongly condemned a controversial virtual chat in which threats of ethnic cleansing against the Yoruba and Benin communities were made. He has been informed that the perpetrators’ identities have been revealed and that Canadian law enforcement agencies have been urged to take legal action against them.
Abubakar praised the House of Representatives and the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission for their swift response to this inflammatory rhetoric, which aims to prevent further escalation. He emphasized the importance of national unity, highlighting that Nigeria’s diversity is a vital asset that must be protected.
