Bauchi LG Election: Labour Party Secures Highest Votes Without Candidate

In the recent LG election in Bauchi State, the Labour Party achieved the highest vote count in the Bogoro councillorship race for Lusa B Ward, despite not running a candidate.Â
As a result, the Bauchi State Independent Electoral Commission (BSIEC) declared Lucy Ahmadu Yusuf from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the winner, since she came in second place. The announcement was made by returning officer Daniel Gambo, who revealed that the Labour Party, without a candidate, received 2,200 votes. PDP’s Yusuf received 2,168 votes, while Mbam Masoyi from the All Progressives Congress (APC) finished third with 275 votes.
