Armed militants, suspected to be Boko Haram insurgents, launched a brutal attack on Mafa village in Yobe State’s Tarmuwa Local Government Area, resulting in multiple fatalities and widespread destruction.
The attackers, equipped with rifles and RPGs and arriving on over 50 motorcycles, looted valuables and set fire to numerous homes and businesses.

The State Police Command spokesperson, DSP Dungus Abdulkarim, confirmed the attack but could not immediately provide an exact casualty count. Eyewitnesses Babagana Goni and Bako Ibrahim reported the attack to the Tarmuwa Divisional Police Station. The militants also left behind flyers with Arabic script.
