Tricycle operators, commonly known as Keke Riders, have staged a protest by blocking the busy Spera Deo Junction in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, as confirmed by Newsmax Nigeria.

According to reports from sources familiar with the situation, the protest was triggered by a directive for the Keke riders to undergo data capturing. The initiative was intended to standardize revenue collection, enhance security, and maintain order within the sector. However, a faction of the leadership of the Keke riders has expressed strong opposition to the move.
As of the latest update, there has been no official response from the Ebonyi State Government regarding the protest.
