Burna Boy to Critics: “I’d Rather Kill Than Die for Nigerians” – Criticizes Fela Comparisons

Burna Boy has strongly rejected being compared to the late Afrobeat legend and activist, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, amidst rising criticism.
The Grammy-winning artist, who has often been likened to Fela due to his protest music and outspoken stance, has recently been in the spotlight after an incident involving his colleague, Speed Darlington, who was reportedly detained for defaming him.
In response to the backlash, Burna Boy posted on his Instagram Story, clarifying that he is not Fela Kuti. He expressed frustration over the ongoing comparisons, stating, “I’m not Fela, I’m BIG7. I’m all about positivity, peace, and prosperity, but honestly, I’d rather kill you than die for you.”
