Bus and Trailer Crash on Zaria-Kano Road, see the Numbers of People Burnt to Death

A devastating road accident along the Zaria-Kano Expressway has resulted in the deaths of 21 individuals after a Hummer bus collided with an oncoming trailer, triggering a fire that consumed both vehicles.

Eyewitnesses report that the tragic incident occurred when the Hummer bus, allegedly traveling at high speed, attempted to overtake another vehicle and crashed head-on into a trailer. The impact caused a massive explosion, engulfing the bus in flames and trapping the passengers inside.

Tragically, all those on board the bus perished in the blaze, with the victims burnt beyond recognition. The intensity of the fire left emergency responders and bystanders helpless in their efforts to rescue the trapped individuals.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has confirmed the crash, describing it as one of the most harrowing accidents recorded along the route in recent memory. Recovery and evacuation efforts were carried out by FRSC officials, security agencies, and community volunteers. The remains of the victims were transported to a nearby hospital mortuary.

Speaking on the incident, an FRSC official—who chose to remain anonymous—issued a stern warning to drivers about the dangers of speeding and reckless overtaking. He emphasized the need for drivers to exercise caution, maintain their vehicles properly, and respect traffic regulations, particularly on high-risk highways like Zaria-Kano.
