Bwala Hits Back at Critics: “I’m No Newcomer to APC, Just Took a Short Break”

Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Media and Public Communication, has addressed criticisms regarding his involvement with the All Progressives Congress (APC), stating that he is not a newcomer to the party. Bwala clarified that he was simply absent for a brief period of seven months.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today program on Monday, Bwala defended his decision to join the administration, despite previous criticisms he directed at both the APC and President Tinubu. He suggested that much of the backlash he’s facing is orchestrated.
“I am not a stranger to the APC,” Bwala emphasized. “I’ve been an active supporter and member for years, and my record speaks for itself. I’ve consistently defended the party on national platforms, including interviews dating back eight years before the election.”
Bwala dismissed claims that his return to the APC was sudden or opportunistic, insisting that while he was away for a short time, his commitment to the party remains unchanged. He also suggested that some of the criticisms against him were being driven by external forces.
