Chelsea Signs Aaron Anselmino on a Seven-Year Contract, Will Be Loaned Back to Boca Juniors

Chelsea has secured the services of Boca Juniors defender Aaron Anselmino on a seven-year contract, the club announced on Thursday. The fee for the transfer has not been disclosed.Â
Despite the transfer, the 19-year-old Anselmino will remain with Boca Juniors for the 2024/25 season on loan. He made his professional debut in June 2023 and has since appeared in 10 senior matches for the Argentine side. Anselmino also netted his first career goal in a Copa Sudamericana victory over Trinidense in April.
This move marks Chelsea’s eighth signing of the summer transfer window. The London club, which finished sixth in the Premier League last season, will kick off their new campaign with a home fixture against reigning champions Manchester City on August 18.
