Corps Member Account Upgrade: NYSC Clarify Their Stance on Payment of N70,000 Minimum Wage; See Details

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has clarified that it has not instructed corps members to upgrade their accounts for receiving a N70,000 minimum wage.
In a statement released on Sunday in Abuja, Eddy Megwa, the Director of Information and Public Relations for the NYSC, refuted recent social media claims as entirely false.
Megwa emphasized that no official directive regarding wage adjustments has been issued by any government body responsible for such matters. As a result, the NYSC cannot issue any related instructions. He urged corps members, their families, and the public to disregard these false claims, noting that corps members are familiar with the official communication channels of the NYSC.
“The NYSC advises corps members to avoid falling for misinformation spread by malicious individuals,” Megwa added.
He also cautioned bloggers and social media influencers against making unauthorized statements about NYSC operations.
