Davido: “I Smoke, But I Don’t See Weed As A Drug”

Nigerian music star Davido has shared his views on cannabis, commonly referred to as weed, stating that he doesn’t classify it as a hard drug.
During his appearance on The Morning Hustle podcast, Davido responded to criticism about his public use of cannabis, especially given his commitment to fighting drug abuse. The artist explained that his foundation will be making donations to orphanages and supporting initiatives aimed at combating drug abuse, particularly among the youth.
He said, “This year, I’m focusing on supporting the fight against drug abuse among young people. I don’t consider weed to be a hard drug. People may criticize me for smoking it, but for me, it’s not a drug.”
Davido also addressed the broader issue of addiction, saying, “Many people are struggling right now, and drug addiction is becoming more prevalent. I want to contribute to helping those who are fighting to overcome it.”
