Details of how EFCC Arrest 56 Alleged Internet Fraudsters in Kwara

The Ilorin Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has apprehended 56 individuals suspected of involvement in internet fraud in Ilorin, Kwara State. The operation, which took place between September 3 and 4, 2024, was executed based on credible intelligence regarding the fraudulent activities that have led to significant distress among unsuspecting victims.
According to a statement from Dele Oyewale, the EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, the authorities recovered a range of items from the suspects, including 18 luxury vehicles of various brands, several laptops, high-end smartphones, and charms. Oyewale also noted that the suspects will face legal proceedings once the ongoing investigations are completed.
