Drunk Driver Causes Fatal Crash In Yaba, Lagos, Killing Soldiers

Tragedy struck this morning near the Nigerian Army Sports Centre in Yaba, Lagos, when a heavily intoxicated driver, speeding recklessly, crashed into a group of soldiers during their routine march. Over 15 soldiers were impacted, with some confirmed dead and others suffering severe injuries. The news has left the military community in shock and mourning.
The incident occurred as soldiers from the Myoung Barracks were conducting a physical training exercise. Eyewitnesses reported hearing a soldier describe the scene as chaotic, saying, “There’s blood everywhere. I was lucky to be at the back.” The driver, suspected to be a drunk and accompanied by three young men believed to be internet fraudsters, plowed into the soldiers without warning.

died.
