DSS Arrests Five Over Abduction and Murder of Young Girl in Kano

The Department of State Services (DSS) in Kano State has taken five suspects into custody in connection with the abduction and killing of an eight-year-old girl, Sakina Mamuda, in the Duhunbake community of Gwarzo Local Government Area.
According to reports, the victim was kidnapped by the suspects, who initially demanded a ransom before ultimately taking her life by strangulation and discarding her body in a well.
The individuals arrested in connection with the crime are Zailani Rabi’u, Hafizu Yusuf Muhd, Abubakar Abdulkarim (aka Danyaro), Umar Lawan Abdullahi, and Amadu Salisu (aka Amadi).
Confirming the arrests, Kano State Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Haruna Dederi, praised the DSS for their swift and coordinated efforts in apprehending the suspects shortly after the incident.
In response to the tragic event, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf expressed heartfelt sympathies to the grieving family and the Duhunbake community. He reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to strengthening security and ensuring justice for the victims of such heinous crimes.
