ENOUGH IS ENOUGH: KRAD CALLS FOR PEACEFUL ENGAGEMENT
‘Kunle Rasheed Adegoke, SAN, the APC candidate for Osun Central Senatorial District, has appealed to the Osun State Government, political stakeholders, transport unions, and youths to embrace dialogue and peaceful engagement in resolving disagreements.
The legal luminary stressed that development cannot take place in an environment of chaos, noting that violence ultimately serves the interest of no one or groups.0
“What should be paramount in our minds as a state is how we will attract industries, increase Federal Government presence, and bring developmental projects to Osun to improve the lives of our people,” he said.
According to Mr. Adegoke, the collective interest of Osun State must take precedence over political differences and disagreements. He urged all parties to approach contentious issues with restraint, maturity, and a genuine commitment to finding lasting solutions.
“Enough is enough. We must not allow disagreements, however serious, to derail the peace and progress of our state. Nobody wins when violence prevails. The real losers are our people, whose businesses, livelihoods, education, and future are put at risk.”
KRAD called on the government and all relevant stakeholders to create channels for constructive dialogue, stressing that political competition should never become a threat to public peace or the economic well-being of the citizens.
The Senatorial hopeful further appealed to transport unions and youths across the state to exercise restraint and avoid actions that could escalate tensions, emphasizing that their energy and influence should be directed toward building a more prosperous Osun.
“Osun needs peace to attract investment, create jobs, strengthen infrastructure, and secure a greater share of national development opportunities. Let us choose dialogue over confrontation, cooperation over division, and progress over conflict.”
He reaffirmed his commitment to a peaceful, united, and economically vibrant Osun State, urging all stakeholders to work together in the interest of present and future generations.
