Faduri Oluwadare Joseph(Fadojoe) Criticises APC-led Government Over ₦712 Billion Lagos Airport Renovation

Faduri Oluwadare Joseph(Fadojoe)
Faduri Oluwadare Joseph, popularly known as Fadojoe, a former presidential aspirant under the Labour Party and the founder of Rescue Mission for New Nigeria, has criticised the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led federal government for approving a staggering ₦712 billion for the renovation of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos.

In a strongly worded statement, Faduri fires the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, accusing him of prioritising personal and political gain over the welfare of ordinary Nigerians. He described the budget as outrageous, especially at a time when the majority of citizens are struggling to afford even one square meal per day.
“How can a government justify spending ₦712 billion on just one airport, in a country where poverty is widespread and basic amenities are lacking?” Faduri questioned. He argued that such a move reflects the insensitivity of the ruling class to the harsh economic realities faced by millions of Nigerians.
The former presidential Aspirant also accused Keyamo of betraying his activist roots, claiming the minister now defends the same system he once fought against. “He is an old activist who has suddenly changed because of his share of the national cake,” Fadojoe said.
He further lamented the current state of the country, stating that many Nigerians abroad are no longer proud of their homeland and are hesitant to return. He described Nigeria as a “jungle that is supposed to be a country” and called on citizens to prepare to vote out politicians who have destroyed our country in the 2027 general elections.
“We must begin now to build a nation we can all be proud of, a country that works for everyone, not just the privileged few, its high time we rescue Nigeria” he added.
