Family of Beheaded Girl, Salome Adaidu Denies She Was Not Timileyin Ajayi’s Girlfriend, Reveals Kidnapping and Murder Details

The family and friends of Salome Eleojo Adaidu, who was tragically killed by gospel singer Timileyin Ajayi, have clarified the nature of their relationship. Contrary to widespread claims that Salome was Timileyin’s girlfriend, her family has firmly stated that this is untrue. They explained that Salome had mistakenly entered the wrong Keke (tricycle) and was subsequently kidnapped by Timileyin, who later murdered her.
A Facebook user, Alli Stephen, speaking on behalf of the family, stated that Salome was not involved romantically with Timileyin. He further asserted that the singer’s statement to the police upon his arrest was false. Alli described Salome as being like a sister to Timileyin, not his girlfriend. He recounted that on January 12, 2025, Salome had left her home at around 11 a.m. to visit a friend in Karu, Nasarawa State, but unknowingly boarded the wrong Keke. Alli spoke to Salome’s sister at 2 p.m. and again at 6 p.m. that same day, only to later receive the devastating news of her death. He revealed that it was the Keke driver who alerted others after noticing blood dripping from the bag carried by Timileyin, which led to the discovery of the crime.
Another Facebook user, Abby Simon, who described Salome as her friend’s younger sister, also rejected the claim that Salome and Timileyin were in a romantic relationship. Abby shared that Timileyin had kidnapped Salome and murdered her in a brutal manner, and he was later apprehended by the police. She emphasized that Salome was a quiet, well-behaved young woman who rarely left home unless necessary.
Social media reactions have been filled with shock and disbelief, with many condemning Timileyin’s actions. Comments like “By next week, he probably would have been cruising around with a Benz, meanwhile the ill-gotten money was from killing an innocent soul” and “How will killing someone make you rich?” have flooded the internet, highlighting the public outrage over the crime.
In addition to the murder, a disturbing old motivational video of Timileyin Ajayi surfaced online after his arrest, showing him speaking about success and wealth. This has led many to reflect on the darker side of his ambitions, which tragically culminated in the violent murder of an innocent woman.
As the investigation into Salome’s death continues, her family has expressed deep sorrow, urging the public to understand the true nature of their loved one’s tragic end. They remain hopeful for justice as the authorities proceed with the case.
